This is one of the more bizarre paintings I have ever done. I was in college spending every day for months painting boxes and cylinders and cones and spheres. I was so bored! We got to the point in class where we were doing a style of painting called palette knife painting. Instead of using a brush the artist just scoops up paint with a knife and spreads it on the canvas. It was the first piece we were allowed to pick the items in our still life for. These are the childhood toys of me and my boyfriend Nick. I tried to make it look something like a stuffed animal family portrait. In the back are my orangutan Monkey and Nick's doggie Max. In the front are Nick's wolf Wolfie and the oldest and wisest of the group my bunny Munchies.
